In 2018, Duke professor Xi Lian published Blood Letters, a book that became the go-to literature on Lin Zhao, a non-conforming victim of Mao’s Revolution. Duke Divinity School embarks on a journey to commission a musical correlation to express the essence of Blood Letters and a remembrance of the life of Lin Zhao in a way that is transmuting.
